OC&C Strategy Consultants is an international management consulting firm established in 1987 with 15 offices in Europe, North America, the Middle East and Asia. Our main areas of operation are group strategy, product and channel strategy, organization and change, strategy transformation, and merger and acquisition support. OC&C covers a wide range of sectors, with particular focus on retail, consumer goods, industry, and private equity.
OC&C Greater China has offices in Shanghai and Hong Kong, but serves clients throughout Asia, including Japan, Thailand, Indonesia, Taiwan and Korea. Previous clients include a leading hypermarket, a major wine and spirits producer, sports and casual apparel brands, and a world leader in food and nutrition. If you join OC&C as an undergraduate or a graduate, you will start as a Junior or Associate Consultant, and be assigned to a project team straightaway. You will learn to conduct research and analyses on business issues, solve problems in a team environment, work closely with client team members as well as to prepare reports and presentations. As a new joiner, you will have to learn fast and “on the job,” feeding off the experience of your team to rapidly build your own. Annually, you will participate in our international training program, which covers topics like business economics, finance and specific consulting skills. Projects tend to be fast-paced and intense, so you will rapidly gain experience across a wide range of challenges and sectors.
In order to progress to Consultant and beyond, you will be expected to contribute fully with brainstorming, discussing analyses, making recommendations and building relationships. Progress at OC&C is merit based, and objectified through regular feedback and evaluations, and entirely dependent on personal performance. Typically, it may take two to three years to progress from Associate Consultant to Consultant. If you perform well as a Consultant, you will be made a Manager. As such, you will be one of those forming the very core of the firm, taking prime responsibility for delivering on projects and for developing the teams that deliver them.
